It all started when…
Inspired Mountain Vacations owner, Brian Roach, realized his desire to facilitate and further extend his personal philanthropic reach and impact to places around the globe that made an impact on him. Inspired Mountain Vacations - Inspired to Give charitable program is a foundation to be of service to others by supporting select nonprofit organizations with a primary focus on health, human services, sustainability and education.
“It all started on 9/11/2001.
Like the rest of you, I had to do something, but what…. you know, you just start somewhere. So, I signed up to volunteer at the local fire department. I also decided that a portion of my ski vacation sales that year would be sent to victims of the September 11 attacks. It was a small amount, but it was a fantastic start. It motivated me! It Inspired me to do more.
After that, I started donating to the Vail Veterans Program. This program helps disabled veterans learn to ski, horse back ride, enjoy the outdoors and try to return to normal life. I was able to ski on the mountains with them also. It was very rewarding! We worked with the Hartford Ski Spectacular and donated our Beaver Run two bedroom condo for a free week stay to instructors of disabled veterans.
We definitely donate to local charities, like the Animal Rescue of the Rockies, 10th Mountain Division Hut Association, the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, Nuzzles & Co Rescue Ranch and Adoption Center in Park City, UT.
Recently we have been donating to the Doug Coombs Foundation in Jackson, Wyoming. This foundation provides the opportunity for low-income children to join their peers in activities on and off the ski slopes of Jackson Hole.
We will start Giving to Protect Our Winters aka POW, Founded by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007. POW turns passionate outdoor people into effective climate advocates. POW leads a community of athletes, thought pioneers and forward-thinking business leaders to affect systemic political solutions to climate change.
Inspired Mountain Vacations will continue to Give Back. The companies mentioned throughout our website also Give Back, so please visit their websites, research them and use their products and services.
Living in Utah, near the Park City ski resort, I was introduced to the Human Outreach Project (HOP) which was conceived on the premise that trekkers could – and should – give back to the communities in which they travel
Because of incredible new and repeat guests, Inspired Mountain Vacations will continue to Give Back. You make it possible!
We appreciate your support and look forward to creating your next Inspired Mountain Vacation!”
